Known as the best place in Africa, if
not the world for viewing free-ranging elephants,
you are guaranteed to see stately herds of the great
pachyderms parading– Tsavo West, home to Mzima Springs.
The park also had magical views of majestic Mt.
Kilimanjaro, a share attraction with Amboseli
National Park. Tsavo East National Park is famous
for Tsavo man eaters and red elephants. Amboseli
National Parks offers unapparelled opportunity to
watch big elephants’ herds up-close. There are wide

Itenerary
Day 1 : Nairobi - Amboseli
National park
Pick up from your hotel at
0800 hrs and drive to the Amboseli National reserve
at the foot of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's
highest peak. Arrive in good time for lunch;
Afternoon game drives followed by Dinner and
overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge
Day 2: Amboseli
A full day in this
photogenic park. Morning and afternoon game drives.
Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or
similar
Amboseli offers you the best opportunity
of seeing the critically endangered black rhino,
along with a spectacular range of wildlife. The
area's low and well-munched vegetation also ensures
that animals are easy to spot. Lions can easily be
found and can occasionally be watched stalking their
prey. Buffalo, cheetah, gazelle, hyena, jackal,
wildebeest, zebra, and baboon are just some of the
animals that can be encountered at Amboseli,
creating swamps that attract and support a rich
diversity of wild animals and birdlife
Day 3: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast,
depart for Tsavo West National Park. This drive is
relatively short, allowing for game viewing
opportunities along the way. As you enter Tsavo, the
landscape changes dramatically, with volcanic hills,
lava flows, and unique baobab trees dotting the
scenery.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch
and some relaxation time. In the afternoon, embark
on a game drive in Tsavo West. The park is known for
its population of "red elephants," named for the red
volcanic soil they spray on themselves. Keep an eye
out for these unique creatures, as well as lions,
leopards, buffaloes, and a variety of antelopes.
Visit the Mzima Springs, a series of natural springs
and a famous spot to observe hippos and crocodiles
from an underwater viewing chamber. As the day winds
down, enjoy a sundowner with views of the Chyulu
Hills before returning to the lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Day 4: Tsavo West to Tsavo
East National Park
Travel Time: 2-3 Hour
Drive
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Begin
your day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo
West, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Then, make
your way to Tsavo East National Park, the larger of
the two Tsavo parks. The drive between the parks
offers continuous opportunities for wildlife
viewing.
Arrive at your Tsavo East lodge in time
for lunch. In the afternoon, set out for a game
drive in this vast wilderness. Tsavo East is
characterized by semi-arid grasslands and savanna,
providing excellent visibility for wildlife
spotting. Look for large elephant herds, lions,
leopards, and the critically endangered hirola
antelope, found only in this region.
Visit the
Galana River, a lifeline for the park's wildlife,
especially during the dry season. Watch crocodiles
basking on the banks and animals coming to drink. As
the sun sets, return to the lodge for dinner and
your last night in the bush, savoring the sounds and
smells of the African night.
Day 5:
Tsavo East to Nairobi
Travel Time: 5-6
Hour Drive
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Rise early
for one last game drive in Tsavo East, maximizing
your chances of spotting any wildlife you might have
missed. Return to the lodge for breakfast and
check-out. Begin your journey back to Nairobi, with
the option to stop at the Taita Hills Wildlife
Sanctuary en route if time permits.
Enjoy a
packed lunch or stop at a local restaurant along the
way. As you approach Nairobi, the landscape
gradually shifts from wilderness to farmland and
then to urban sprawl. Your guide will be happy to
answer any final questions about the wildlife,
cultures, or landscapes you've encountered during
your safari.
Arrive in Nairobi in the late
afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel
or the airport, marking the end of your
comprehensive Kenyan safari adventure. Depart with
unforgettable memories of Kenya's diverse landscapes
and incredible wildlife.
